Goodbye Earth?
Just something random I wrote. lol. Walk down this empty street, Listening for the sound of single heart beats, Fading into the darkness they go, take it easy, take it slow, Death lingers around the corner, it all seems so distant to a foreigner, How a mother lost her child, she'll never again see his smile, hear of only tears and sorrow, of lives they wish they could borrow, wishing of turning back the time, or never again be covered in this grime, How the earth had shook on them, how they thought that god had risen to condemn, Look to the skies palms in prayers, why, they ask, their faces streaked with tears, Homes flattened to the ground, no one dares make a sound, watch as another tsunami comes land bound, be awed by its might, its in full glory, but what an unwanted sight, engulfing towns in a flash, everyone's desperately making a mad dash, but nowhere is safe anymore, its a fact that you can't ignore, the world is crumbling, falling apart, its bleeding straight from the heart, one by one loved ones depart, take a glance at the weather chart, people say its never too late to start, but maybe its reached the point of no return, but to some, its none of their concern, only self needs or how much they earn, how selfishness will kill us all, its all there written on the wall, oh how the world will crumble and fall, listen to the deafening silence around you, that you realise global warming was in the brew, a catalyst that everyone knew, but how no one seemed to care, till the cost of lives each person has to bear, or of souls the devil will have to tear, ripping them apart limb by limb, how earth's chances of survival seem so dim, its time to really act out our part, before everything really starts to break apart. |
