    I say no more.

    WALLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Hahahaha. If you don't know what show it is, please bang your head against the wall.
Or bang your head against the screen.
    Alternatively, you could Google it.
But one thing's for sure, go and watch it!

I caught Wall*E with her today, one day before the actual release date.
And it was nice. Damn nice.
    Well. I liked it.
Or maybe it was because of the company I had. :)
Catch it if you have the time ok.
    No regrets.
And it has a mini love story embedded in it. how sweet.

    WARNING.
TO THOSE WHO WILL GET NIGHTMARES AFTER BEING TOLD A GHOST STORY, PLEASE DO NOT CARRY ON READING THIS POST.

I just had to blog about this. This is one dream that still stays quite clearly in my memory. I wonder why too. Last night, I had this weird dream. Really really weird.

    Here goes.

I dreamt that she and my family were at a holiday resort. Somewhere in Malaysia?
There was this buggy which the resort provided for the guests to use.
And I have no idea why, but I was always the one driving it. It was so fun driving. I gave lifts to my mum and cheryl to somewhere just to drive that buggy. And the place looked alot like East Coast Park's rows of buildings.

    Here comes the part.

    I dreamt I saw a ghost.
There was this toilet in the resort that I used and when I looked in a small mirror hanging just above the sink, I saw a lady with long hair covering her face standing at the right hand corner of the mirror behind me. Can you imagine? something like a character from the ring.

I ignored that and continued doing what I was doing. I think I was brushing my teeth but not daring to look into the mirror again.

    But I DID! omg.

This time, the lady was standing directly behind me. And I freaked out. I ran out of the toilet looking for my family. And I didn't dare to tell her cause she was afraid of this type of stuffs. But I told my family though. The warning was out, to stay away from that toilet.

    That was my dream.

Weird ain't it. Oh wells. Wish me luck today. I don't want any more nightmares.

    Happy Birthday To You

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!

    May you
    live long long,
    earn alot alot of money,
do your countless parts of charity,
help out the society as you expand your business,
    and
    and
    and
    never stop smiling!
You're the best mum anyone can have. To me that is. Haha. :)

    1:15 AM
    ZOOOM!

    Friday 2230hrs.
Stepping on the brake to change the gear from P to R, I slowly eased off the brakes to allow the car to slowly drift backwards.

In the front passenger seat sat a lady. Not an instructor. Not a qualified instructor, but a lady I call mum.

At the back sat two teenage ladies, both younger than me. Neither do they have any qualifications for driving. My sisters are what I call them.

The towering HDB blocks enclosed in on the small waiting area as a red Saab pulled out from its stationary position.

Yes, I drove my mum's car.
Yes, I don't have my license yet.
Yes, my mum allowed. ( cause she rocks.)

    BUT.
It was confined to the vicinity of the blocks surrounding us. Oh wells. better than nothing. haha.

I had actually asked her a few weeks ago but something happened and spoiled my mood to try out plus my mum completely forgot. However, she suddenly remembered on friday and asked if I was still interested. Of course I said yes.

Its a step closer to driving my mum's car should I get my license on the 10th.
    Praying hard I do.
I just want to be able to be able to drive without an instructor in the passenger seat.
    Pray with me would you.

Had a match today and it was totally crap. A bunch of people who have not played as a team before, oversized and over weight for some.
    Totally crap.
We dominated the match from start to finish.
    I scored.
But I don't feel good at all.
They're a bunch of sore losers.
    I hate sore losers.
    Why can't people lose gracefully.
After we went 4 nil up within 20 minutes, some of the players were actually asking for the full time whistle already. They wanted to give up, stop playing and just concede defeat.
During the second half, at one point of time they were taking their goal kicks laughing like someone ordered them to laugh or they'll die. As expected, it came out crap too.
    Why on earth play than?!
Go home and sit on the couches drinking beer la.
    Crap.
It was more of a training session rather than a match.
They didn't have any mood to play once they conceded 3 or 4.
    Bunch of losers.
Hopefully, next week's opponent would be much better.
    Hopefully.

Lastly, good luck to my lao po for her upcoming exams.
    YOU CAN DO IT! (:
    Just do your best.
    Don't give up.
If you're not doing it for yourself, do it for me! =x
I really want to see you do well darling.
    Study study study!
Push yourself just a bit more, and soon it'll be the hols.
    JIA YOU! (:

    6 Months!

    6 MONTHS
    and counting! (never stopping) :))

To some, half a year may seem short. To others it may seem long.
6 months spent with her can be described as the best 6 months I could ever have.
    Simply put,

    She lights up my life.

    That simple.
By just being a part of my life.
And I pray and hope that we really could last till we grow old and die together in each others arms.
    Today,
    Promises were made.
And I have no intention whatsoever to break any of my promises.
Will you let me fulfill those promises darling? :)
Will you, also keep your word and not break those promises too? :)

We agreed to celebrate every 6 months and see how many celebrations we could celebrate.
    And today was the day.
She gave me a surprise by cooking lunch for me and getting us a small cake as well.
    Oh man.
That really meant alot to me.
And she went through all the trouble, all the while with me kept in the dark.
    so sweet of her.
    Thanks lao po!
Opps! I said it again. =x
But it really did mean alot to me. :)))
    I shan't reveal anymore details.
    Its kept between us.
I love you my darling lao po!

Oh ya! and her food was way nicer than my food I cooked for her the previous night. =x
    It was just, really horrible.
I felt bad as she wanted to finish it. She knew it wasn't nice. I knew it wasn't nice too. But she insisted on finishing it. :))

We'll build towards our future darling!
A landmark has passed. Hopefully, many more to come. I promise.
I truly treasure and cherish you and I'm really glad you're here with me. :))

    Faithfully yours,
    with lots of love,
    your darling lao gong.
    :)))))

    Tioman '08

Here's the update on the trip to Malaysia.

And I finally know where we went to. drum rolls please! its.... *dum dum dum dum dum*

    TIOMAN!

And i'm back, armed with dozens of pictures for the benefit of archdevil89.blogspot's readers.

    How nice can I be.

Health warning: Health warning: Health warning: Health warning: Health warning: Health
    Take a few minutes break after reading a bit of this post. I don't want to be responsible for any health concerns. (;
Health warning: Health warning: Health warning: Health warning: Health warning: Health

I just took a look at the scroll bar and with just pictures alone, its damn bloody long already. can you last throughout the whole post?

    Here goes,

    brace yourself.

    LOCATION: HOME
    TIME: 4.30AM FRIDAY 08/08/08

That was the time my alarm went off. We were wanted downstairs at 5.15am by the Maxi cab driver to take us down to Newton Circus for the bus ride to Malaysia.

Washing up, I glanced at my phone and I got a shock when I saw a missed call from her. She actually bothered to wake up just to say bye to me so early in the morning. So sweet and nice of her. :)))

I called her back and we talked till my mum said it was time to go. So sad. If I could, I wouldn't have wanted to hang up the phone.

    LOCATION: NEWTON CIRCUS CARPARK
    TIME: 5.50AM FRIDAY 08/08/08

The Maxi cab pulled up in the carpark of the newton circus food centre with the cab fare amounting to $30 plus plus.

Taking a look around, there was a huge bus parked at the corner of the carpark and some cars in various random lots. Everyone was expecting to board the bus but to our surprise, our transport to Malaysia was a small mini van shared with a couple.

It may prove a blessing in disguise as the bus would prove to be slow and incapable of overtaking on the roads of Malaysia.

    And we're off!

Leaving Newton Circus, we headed for customs and cleared it within minutes and we found ourselves on Malaysian soil.

    Guess what?

I was missing her already. It was that fast. Argh.

The bus ride took 3 hours plus just to get to Marsiling's ferry terminal to take a 2 hour boat ride to Tioman itself. Someone shrink Malaysia please.

    LOCATION: FERRY TERMINAL
    TIME: 9.15AM FRIDAY 08/08/08

    Ferry To Tioman

The waiting area to wait for the boat that transports us to the island.

    Map of Tioman

    Rachel acting retarded.

We had an hour to kill while waiting for the scheduled boat ride down to Tioman. And there was nothing to do other than browse through a few shops not 10 metres away from the waiting area.

After waiting around aimlessly, it was finally time to board the boat.

    The ferry terminal.

    "ALL ABOARD!"

They were showing Triple X on the onboard television set.

The boat ride took us to a few ports first before finally docking at Salang. (Find it on the map above!)

Throughout the day, I received a few messages from her. she was spamming and I couldn't reply. Argh. Every message brought about a wide smile though. :))

    LOCATION: SALANG
    TIME: 12.55PM FRIDAY 08/08/08

SPOOKY FACT: There was something strange about these buildings shown in the picture here. During the day, clothes could be seen hanging in the rooms facing the sea. However, later on at night, there would not be any light coming from any of the buildings to indicate any form of life in them. Spooky huh.

We have finally arrived at our destination! After countless of hours traveling, the soil we set foot on was our final destination for the day. *jumps for joy*

If you take a closer look, those black things in the water are actually school of fishes. The water is THAT clear.

    Beautiful scenery all around.

And we could afford to smile for the camera.

This lady was squeezing the black ink from the squids that she caught. An eye opener.

Take a look at the beach!

I kinda like this shot. Its like a mother waiting for her lost child out at sea. Waiting and waiting.

    The view from inland out.

The map of the island. The place only has one footpath up and down with no vehicles whatsoever. Only push carts were spotted during our stay.

First stop over, a six pack purchase.

    The walk to the hotel.

And we walked and walked and walked. The walk from the jetty to the hotel took about 10 to 15 minutes. And our hotel was situated at the end of the island.

This is the hotel's "club house". Check in, dining, check out, room service (don't think they have it), house keeping, activity board.

My parents took the normal room while rach, cheryl and me took another bigger room further away from the clubhouse.

And there were chickens all over the place.

There was an outdoor dining area too.

After checking in, we decided to check out the place and find us something to get our stomaches cheering, lunch. We were starving, every single one of us.

Their police post was a small hut with two fire extinguishers at each end of the staircase. I guess this is their fire station too.

When we walked past it, it seemed empty and locked with only a photo of a policeman hanging at the top of the door.

I tried to convince the rest that if a crime was committed, one would just have to go to the police station, take the photo and chase the culprit with it. Imagine how comical it would be. Let your imagination run wild.

This lamp post is quite useless other than for its decorative qualities. It serves no purpose at night as no light shines from it, 24/7.

I'm holding a bodiless head! RUN!

After walking back to a place near the jetty, we stopped for food.

    The menu.

My mum was pretending to be in awe of my dad's shades. They can be quite comical.

Nasi goreng pattaya was my dad's and my lunch.

While we were eating, there was this eurasion couple seated beside our table and the lady was feeding the cats that came knocking on her door for lunch.

The place was swarming with cats.
Small cats, big cats, fat cats, skinny cats, pretty cats, ugly cats, dead cats (didn't see) and some other random cats.

Look at how they wait to be fed.

They look like they're worshipping the lady.

    Presenting, a retarded looking cat.

    And another cat.

Meowwwwwwwwwww. This was cheryl's language on the island as she meowed to every cat or kitten she saw. It was quite comical with the way she expressed that sound. Like those cats desperately calling for their parents type of call.

I asked her to pose for this photo. Quick tell me its nice!

Another creature the place was swarming wit hwas hermit crabs. Look below for evidence to back up my claim.

There were countless of them! And they look kinda gross.

    Price list.

Look at the liquor prices! I think they can be considered cheap already.

This cat was a frequent visitor to our hotel room.

We walked around, explored the place, and picked up seashells and dead corals from the beach, finally ending up in the water unsuccessfully trying to catch fishies with our bare hands.

After that, we rented 3 canoes, my dad and my mum, rach and cheryl and me taking a double canoe alone as they didn't have any singles for rent. Brings back memories from my canoeing days. It felt weird back behind a paddle again but it was like I didn't stop canoeing altogether.

Actually, renting the canoes was my idea as I thought we could head out to open waters and just glance down to look at the seabed as the waters were so clear.

After an hour of canoeing, we headed back to the hotel to shower and change up for dinner.

There, guests wait for dinner, not dinner waits for the guest.

At 7pm sharp, guests are expected to be seated at the dining area for dinner to be served. Should the guest be late, it shall be only their own misery as the food would be cold.

And so, my dad, not liking his food cold, wanted us seated before 7. Singapore's famous disease kicks in, Kiasu-ism.

LOCATION: HOTEL, CLUB HOUSE - RESTAURANT
    TIME: 7PM FRIDAY 08/08/08

This is the time our food arrived at the table.

We were saying that should the food be horrible, we'll eat abit to give face and head down to the makan places available on the the island.

Surprisingly, the food was fantastically delicious. We ate till our stomach's content and couldn't stuff ourselves with the amazingly nice food. Maybe it was due to our lowered expectations that the food tasted great, or maybe we were all just starving.

    BURPPPP!!!

After dinner, the girls were at the outdoor dining area trying to take self timer shots with the camera, and it resulted in a family photo as me and my folks joined in.

After a heavy meal, the best form of exercise would be a casual walk along the beach and we did just that. Technically, we were doing that as the one and only pathway on the island is directly next to the beach and the sea.

We walked to our lunch place but this time, there was a guy barbecuing the catches of the day.

Bored, with nothing to do except explore the place further, we took a stroll to the jetty to view the activities of the locals there.

Go with me, AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! ZHOOOO ZWEET!

We spent half an hour to 45 minutes there before heading for the food place nearest to the jetty.

My dad wanted to munch on something and he ordered a few dishes to share. Plus a beer for me.

The whole trip, I was accompanying him with beer drinking. I don't quite like it though. Don't want a beer belly too.

I walked to a pathside stall selling ramly burgers and got for myself a beef and cheese burger before joining up again with the rest.

Finishing the food, we sat there for a while before heading back to the hotel to catch some much desired sleep.

After washing up, I decided to send a good night sms to her.

Even though my mum warned against messaging while in Malaysia, but I couldn't help it. I missed her so much already. So I decided, 2 messages each night and hopefully it doesn't appear on the bill or if so, my mum won't say much.

My 2 messages was used up in one long message to her. When she replied, I could really feel she really missed me too. which brought a wide smile to my face that followed me to sleep. I desperately wanted to reply back but self control got the better of me. hope she understands.

LOCATION: HOTEL, CLUBHOUSE - OUTDOOR DINING AREA
    TIME: 9.11AM SATURDAY 09/08/08

Breakfast was served at 8.30am which was followed by our planned iterneiry for the day,

    • Island hopping (3 islands)
    • Snorkelling at the islands
    • A visit to the marine park
All in all, it was an estimated half a day event.

Taking a rest on the hammock.

After breakfast, there was still time before our island hopping trip so we headed back to the hotel room to rest and relax for a while, packing what was needed to be brought along.

Family photo! But it was quite a failure with the self timer.

Attempt 2. Now rach's making weird faces.

Attempt 3. Success! but its now kinda dark.

    Some random shots.

    It was finally time!

Heading back to the open dining area of the hotel clubhouse, a name which I now use to call it, we gathered with 2 groups of people, friends of sorts. We didn't know them though. The tour guide was a man in his early 40s, tanned and skinny with squarish specs looking at the people facing him.

He first taught us how to use the snorkeling gear properly before briefing us on the programme for the day.

    Next, we were off!

Walking a short distance away from the place we gathered at, the 3 groups followed the tour guide like how peter piper led those mice. Straight into the water.

We had to wade through the sea which was just about knee deep to get to a speedboat marooned off the coast. It was prevented from getting any closer no thanks to the sharp protruding rocks hiding menacingly in the shallows of the sea.

Once everyone was safely on board with the butts stuck to the seats, the boat man gunned the engine and we were on our way to the first dive site.

We weren't the first nor the last to arrive at the dive site with speed boats of various shapes and sizes came and went.

The water was amazingly clear and soon we found ourselves swimming with marine fishes.

With the pieces of bread purchased earlier on, we took some and fed the fishes, watching as they swam about, eyes wearily on the humans invading their territory but giving them food for the day. How they pecked at the bread was quite a sight to behold as the fishes swarm to the bread holding hand as though there was an instrument to captivate the fishes attention to the hand.

After awhile, we were back on the boat with the wind in our faces as we traveled to another part of the island, one which the tour guide informed that it was our pit stop for lunch and relaxation.

White sand beach if I didn't recall the name wrongly.

Again, there were other people already making themselves comfortable on land and some taking a own guided tour of the sea through their snorkeling gear.

By then, my dad was not feeling too well. He couldn't take the boat's rocking motion and headed for dear old land to have a quick rest.

My mum kept him company as the girls and I busied ourselves with exploring the beach and the sea. And we took some pictures to back up that claim.

They wanted to do a see, hear, speak no evil kinda thing but guessed they backed out in the end.

After 1 and a half hours of rest, sun tanning and lunch, we were once again back on board the now familiar speed boat to take us to the last stop before heading back.

    It was a marine park.

And the marine park had an enclosure to keep the fishes in it. Big, huge ones.

    Gearing up once again.

The fishes were huge. And kinda scary as the bread we meekly stuck our fingers out with were gobbled down before you could say "I am a dumb ass".

They had two of this floating platforms in the middle of the enclosure and we took a break on it as we watched the comings and goings of the people sharing the same fate as us to be in the same enclosure.

After an hour or so, we were back on the jetty of the marine park, waiting for the tour guide and the boat to take us back to the mainland.

    The trail our speedboat made.

We got back on land the same way we got off it, by once again wading through knee deep waters.

After returning the snorkeling gear and life jackets, we headed back to the room to wash up for our next adventure.

To explore the island and lunch.

Lunch came first though as everyone was starving. We headed for the restaurant cloest to the jetty to try out their food.

Once everyone's stomach was to the heart's content, we strolled to the jetty and continued onwards till we came to a small little shelter facing a beach volleyball game in progress. Noticing a hammock strung between two coconut trees, I took my place there and made myself comfortable. Once again, hammocks are damn nice.

After watching for close to an hour, rach was tempted to play. She dragged me and cheryl along to play with her.

We rented a ball from a stall we chanced upon as we were walking back to the hotel. 15RM for the day.

Finding a place to play was another issue though. There were only 2 proper places to play and both were occupied, therefore, we headed to some open space of sand and drew our own imaginary net line with our slippers. however, it was near one of the 2 places to play should the occupants decide to leave their post.

I was pitted against the 2 girls. If only she was there, we could team up and have so much fun. Sian.

About half an hour later, the beach volleyball court was cleared! We quickly took our positions on either side of the net and started playing.

Soon, a malay uncle in his early 40s joined us. It was like a chained reaction with other people also joining in. The more the merrier they say, I couldn't agree more. It was fun!

Playing halfway, the place started to get dark and soon we were all admiring the sunset.

The people stopped playing once it got really dark.

You've got to admit, its marvellous. Simply stunning.

After the rest of our new found teammates left, we carried on playing as before they joined us, 2 against one. I needed a partner!

We played for a while longer before finally heading back to the the hotel to shower.

And we skipped the hotel's free dinner without informing them. Bad move.

After showering, we left for the restaurant that we had lunch at that afternoon for some BBQ food. My dad had preordered the roasted chicked earlier on in the day.

After everyone was done, tummies full, burps all around, we slowly walked back to the hotel to catch some sleep.

    Ramly Burger!

    The room from the outside.

One thing that was missing and standing out for the day was that she didn't spam me at all. Sadded. Maybe she was too busy doing other stuffs, replying other people, I wouldn't know. But I still missed her and I sent her another long sms, wishing to hear from her again. However, her reply was completely different from the previous night. It lacked that feeling and I could feel it. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Guess not in her case. Sian.

Sleeping was a major obstacle as waking up every other hour was quite common for the 2 nights there. My mum suggested the day before to wake up early to catch the sunrise.

My sisters and I, we planned to do just that. I woke up randomly at 6 plus and woke them up for a walk down to the beach.

Alas! The island faced the sunset and sunrise was on the other side of the island which was blocked by mountains and trees. The trouble to wake up for nothing. Managed to capture some nice shots though.

After we were quite about done with the disappointment, we headed back to the room to catch a quick nap just in time for the 8.30am breakfast.

LOCATION: HOTEL, CLUB HOUSE - RESTAURANT
    TIME: 8.35AM SUNDAY 10/08/08

Breakfast was toast and butter with sunny side up eggs thrown in for good measure.

It was time. Time to depart the place. Time to say bye to everyone, including the cats. Cheryl went meowing once again.

As we were leaving, the sky across the sea started to get really dark, threatening to rain if we took a step slower. Hastening our paces, we rushed to the jetty before the sky could overturn itself on us.

Looks just like it came out of a picture book right?! I took it and I simply love this picture.

Looks like a fog from the show Fog. Did any of you watch that show?! It was a about a deadly fog that killed as it engulfs people in its deadly misty hands.

    And it started to rain.

We boarded the ferry that was waiting impatiently with its horns blaring at the jetty and took it back to the mainland but not before stopping at a few other jettys, picking up more passengers along the way.

    LOCATION: FERRY TERMINAL
    TIME: 12.30PM FRIDAY 10/08/08

Finally, we have arrived at the terminal to find ourselves ushered back into the same van by the same driver that we took to transport us there.

And there were more people this time round, a china couple in their mid thirties and a young singaporean couple in their early twenties. The singaporean couple, however, had to be seperated as there were no more seats at the back. The guy had to sit infront. But the girl wasn't fazed. She pampered him with water and snacks and when the chance came, she sat at the very front just to get close to him and stroke his hair.

I noticed this because rach mentioned how the girl actually sayangs the guy alot and talked to cheryl about it. so right now, go awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, zho zweet, with me. ha ha.

After another pain in the ass bus ride, we stopped over at a place which sold food stuffs and lunch. They only had chicken rice so we all had to make do with that.

And it was back on the bus to customs.

Clearing it was a breeze and soon, we found ourselves staring at familiar looking sign boards indicating left turn to Woodlands or right turn to Tuas.

The driver took us back to Newton Circus Food Centre's carpark and the rest alighted except my family. At customs, my mum struck a deal with the driver to take us back home for 50RM. Considering all factors, it was quite cheap as the taxi fare would have costed more.

    LOCATION: HOME SWEET HOME
    TIME: 6PM SUNDAY 10/08/08

HOME! its glad to finally see lucky as everyone missed him like crazy. Even the meow crazy cheryl went back to woofing. Lucky's tail didn't stop wagging for a good 15 to 20 minutes.

Thats the end of the trip.

Have you survived through till here? read every single line? seen every single picture?

If you have, CONGRATULATIONS. you may have just wasted 15 or 20 minutes of your life. Unless you're a damn fast reader. It took me ages to compelete this post. Enjoy.

    Holiday?

Ok. not exactly on a plane. but i'm leaving! for malaysia! tomorrow!

We're taking a coach up and a boat ride if I'm not wrong to the lovely place called.... umm.. called... umm..

    I have no idea.

My mum mentioned before. rach mentioned before. but somehow. one way or another, it just doesn't register in my brain.

And we'll be back on sunday!

I'm gonna miss her alot. I wish she could come with us. hehee. =x

Update. Driving has been... great? More or less. the instructor said the technique and the foundation's all there already. just that the parking part needs a little bit of improvement.

And I can't wait for TP. I'm actually looking forward to it. It would be the moment of truth, whether the countless driving lessons were in vain.

    10 september.

10 september also means its closer to enlistment. omg. somehow. good things don't last with me. my new phone, not long later spoils on me. if i get my licence, i won't be able to drive as much as i would like to when i go in to army. ARGH.

    Oh wells.

    Thats me.

    Ha ha.

Take care people. Will be back to update (hopefully with pictures) on monday!

A Trip To The Doc, and Many More.

My phone has gone to the doctor.
And its so serious that it has to be hospitalized.
3 to 5 days stay at the hospital.
    Poor phone.
    Stupid phone.
    Fall sick for what.
I never ill treated you, treat me like that for what.
    dumb.
And I'm leaving for malaysia in 2 days time.
    Argh.

Dragged adam to eastpoint to make an appointment with the phone doctor just now. He was telling me all about Singfest. worse thing was, he didn't call! Got a whack for that. *evil laughter* but the wallet's empty when it comes to tickets. 2 days. 300 bucks?

But he got to see alot of singers though.

Simple Plan, Alicia Keys, Melee, Jason Miraz, Stacy Orrico, Panic At The Disco, Pussycat Dolls and many more.

    Ass.

Caught Money Not Enough 2 with the fam on sunday. Wasn't concentrating on the show though.

Headed down to the cage on saturday to play with farid, muhaimin and some of their friends. I called mahdi and arvind to tag along and charles was a surprise package, he called an hour before to say he down for it. the man.

Hope the doctor calls soon. I want my phone back.
