    soccer.

Firstly, adam is damn bloody lucky. MOST of the times that he takes part in a newpaper competition, he gets it. that time he won the movie premier tickets for fantastic 4 and die hard 4.0. now he won a complimentary team entry worth $240 for a 4-aside football competition. damn lucky right? haha.. oh wells. some people have all the luck. lols..
it was the brewerkz football championship held at the brewerks bar outside the indoor stadium on sat. since it was a 4-aside competition, we can have a maximum of 6 players, 4 outfield and 2 subs. however, we were only able to get 5 out of the required 4. and coincidentally, the 5 of us were from 5A. haha.. we had adam, mahdi, fadzli, charles and me. plus fad's galfren, cherry. haha.. as there were a total of 48 teams that took part, the teams were divided into groups of 6 and to proceed to the next round, we had to be one of the top 4.
There were 2 pitches so that the teams would not have to wait too long for their turn. however, it was a makeshift pitch with barriers at the sides to prevent the ball from venturing too far.

Pitch 2/ Pitch 1 in the background
Each team received a goodie bag which consisted of a size 4 ball and a voucher to claim an hr's free of golf at some random place, some energy supplements and 2 vouchers to claim a free jug of beer. we played our first game and were utterly disappointed to lose it as we dominated the game from the first whistle. one game was 5 mins long only. so we had to have our chances counted. sadly, we did not work the keeper.
however, the 2nd game came with much joy as from a kick-in, i managed to squeeze the ball in and score 1 for the team. 1 nil it ended and it gave us the first 3 points of the competition. the following game was a walk over due to the other team's absence.
we proceeded on to the quarters due to another walk over of another team.. hehee..

The pitch to the left of the picture/ the events being held to the right.

There were people being dunked into a huge basin of icy cold water. 10 bucks for three tries , all in the name of charity. and not just random people, people like pj roberts and jien from espn star sports were the few people who had the luxury of a icy cold bathe on such a warm and humid day.

Mahdi and charles look on as the games are carried out.

The free beer that only me and charles were drinking.

The quarters came quite long after our group stage's games. too long till mahdi left for home to study for his upcoming tests. So we were left without any substitutes for the next game and we were unlucky not to have won it as we dominated from start to finish. it ended and we had to take a penalty each. sudden death. since mahdi was not around, it was me for our team. and their keeper saved it. adam was our keeper and as the opponent struck it, we thought that he, too, saved it. but it ended up in the back of the net. he later explained that it hit his groin area and he wanted to deflect it behind the posts but it went in. unlucky. oh wells.

was supposed to join the councillors to celebrate aud's birthday but by the time i joined them, it would be 9 plus and they ordered their food at 7. =/ so i didn't in the end. sorry aud! =(

well, the next day i had another game, but this time with sgx united. it was at hua yi sec all the way at jurong east. =/

Lucky going for a car ride

    emo kid.

    smile lucky smile..

    enjoying the view.

    cheese!

well.. lucky went along for the ride to jurong east.. thus the pics.. hehee.. shan't bore u with the details of the match. only that we're all looking forward to the next match at serangoon stadium. kelvin was asking everyone to bring along their girlfriends to sit in the stands to watch.. haha.. anyone willing to come along? hehee..

YAY.. man united won! finally.. its been frustrating watching them play.. all the chances with no end result. but a moment of inspiration and magic not forgetting skill from nani meant that united moved from 19th position to 10th position in the league's table.

went to cartel for dinner just now with my family. than when we entered, ah ba go sae the vip come already. so paiseh. haha.. than we had 2 grilled dory fishes, a chicken and mushroom macaroni and a meat lover special. i had the meat lover. haha.. than i ordered the east side brownie and a oreo frappe. after that damn full. haha.. ok. thats all for today. X)

    X)

I had this really weird dream last nite.. or this morning.. well.. considering 3 hours of sleep is long? i dreamt that i bought a wii through impulse buying by just swiping the card. and it was not like say cheap.. it was 600 plus and i just bought it. i must be mad. haha.. than when i reach home i realise i dun have any games to play with since it was the jap version (jap version no games). so i went all the way to amk to just get the games. yeah. and i started to have doubts about it as they sae that the us version is better as it can support more games than the jap set. weird. haha.. anyways. i find that most of the things i dream about comes true. although i hope that some dreams will never come true at all.. the bad ones that is. but i really wanna get a wii. soon i hope. heh..

its been a month since my last post? lazy check. so i take it as a month. well. it has been a action packed one month to summarize it. haha.. some things i can sae, others, hmm.. u'll have to beg me to tell u. wuahahaha.. yes i noe i'm evil.

i'm still working at cartel for that paycheck on the 3rd wed of the month. but quite fun ah. sometimes that is. now dorothy more open.. can joke and all.. today do opening she treat jos, hs and me teh peng. haha.. not everyday get treat by the managers.. although ah ba keep insisting that i buy a drink for myself when he ask me help him to get a drink for him. but i always reject. u noe. press the *reject* button. i dun noe why. dun ask. haha.. today got runaway bill. 3 set lunches. that bloody botak old man! i only rmb him. he and another man and a lady. ah ba says that they forgot to pay and they left. and they didnt even have their ice creams. sigh. just withdrew 20 bucks than got to spend again. mayb i shld leave my wallet empty. that way, it will be negative 0 dollars should i have to spend. yeah.. kinda good idea. hahaas...

hmm. i cant think of anything to put down here alr. hahas. *thinkin*

    *still thinkin*

oh yah. did i mention about the match against the temasek soccer team? adam arvind and me played for the teachers on national day eve. was fun ah.. but i dun wanna talk about the match. horrible match. at least we got to see our juniors. that was a plus. than after the match, adam sarah and i went to east coast coz sarah wanna cycle slash skate. haha.. reached there at 3? than went to bk to eat first.. and slack as well.. than we rented bikes instead of roller blades as none of us knew hw to skate. yeah. so we cycled to one end than headed to the jetty where zul joined us. slacked there too.. watched the fishermen get their fishing lines trapped in unseen reefs with the portable speakers brought by adam blasting away. than we left at ard 7 plus for home. by than, my face was damn red alr.. so long neva go get a tan. not since the outing at sentosa i think.. haha.. oh yah. i read the last book of harry potter alr.. wanna noe the ending? it is.....

go read and u'll noe. heh.

i was thinking of something that can help consumers choose their boots that suit them best. but. there are pros and cons. as a consumer, i will want the most value for money and spend only once. for an example, soccer boots. i wouldn't want to buy a pair of boots that costs 90 bucks than find that it is not suitable for me or to my liking. so what if, take for example, nike revamps its stores to have a section catering to soccer boots instead of displaying it on their shelves? where there can be a small artificial turf area where consumers can test out the boots with the soccer balls provided and see which pair of boots suits them best?

    the pros:
    - attracts consumers as they get to try out the boots before purchase
    - consumers get the best of their money
    - satisfied consumers
    - an increase in sales due to the "demos" provided

    the cons:
    - nike loses business over time as consumers would not need to buy another pair of boots till theirs wear out.
    - higher rental costs due to space needed to set aside for turf
    - turf costs
    - demo sets need to be replaced every once in a while.. thus costing potential revenue
    - window shopping consumers ( the consumers may just want to play on the turf and leave without purchasing anything
    - more manpower needed

yeah.. point out to me if u can think of any more ok? thats most of what i can think of for the pros and cons. looks like the pros and pro consumers while the cons lean towards nike's side. thus, it mayb a losing business for all you know. oh. whatever.
